Kitty (b)1807 (I think if dates are right) was one of the first children to be placed into the Parramatta Native Institution on 12.12.1814
She was the tender age of 7.
The photo there is the only known photo of Kitty that I have photocopied out of the Native Institution of Parramatta book.
Kitty is a person that walked this land but left no footprints. I have searched far and wide looking for any infomation on her but have come across not much. All I can say is that she was married to Colbey (son of Yarramundi) and they had one child (maybe two but not sure.) Her first son Samuel I have had reports that he went to work on McArthurs farm but A lady contacted me whose family had been there since the beginning and she had access to records there and no mention of Samuel at all. After Coleby passed away Kitty married Joseph Budsworth and they had three sons.(one of which I am a descendant of)
Kitty and Joseph went to work for William Cox on his farm out at Connabarrabran as shepherds. I have also heard that Kitty sometimes left her three sons with a lady by the name of Mary Griffen in Coonabarrabran. Kitty moved in this area Narrabri, Taree, all around that area doing what is what I would like to find out.
