Here is the information on a wonderful new book, hot off the press, it is about Darug Men who fought in  WW1, we should all be proud of these Grandfathers, Brothers, Uncles and Cousins of ours, Hope you will all buy the book and keep it as a good family history record.
Philippa has done a lot of research so we can all get to know our Ancesters a bit better.

Thanks Philippa for all your good work, much appreciated from all us Darug People.

The Lock Family in World War One by Philippa Scarlett has been published by Indigenous Histories to coincide with Anzac Day 2008.

This book shows the contribution World War 1 service records make to Lock and Darug history. It includes brief summaries of the records of Lock men and members of their extended family who volunteered for service in World War 1 as well as photographs and extracts from service records.

Additional family names include Morley, Barber, Bolton, White, Castles, Anolock, Punton, Smith, Sims and Everingham .

The records are a unique source of information about these men and their families and sometimes contain the unexpected.
