Mary Ann was living in Hartley when she married in 1850. On her death, there was a coroner's inquest held. Cause of death was inflammation of the bowels. On her death certificate her mothers name is listed as Maria Lutteral. Under the column "Where born..." following Liverpool, NSW, the word "Aboriginal" is written then crossed out. The only child listed is her daughter, Elizabeth Jane. Ward was living at Hartley when he married Mary Ann Lock in 1850
